  1. The First Commandment is unambiguous. Therefore, U.S. militarism, nuclear weapons in particular, are the gods of metal that we worship and in what we trust for our security. They are the ultimate idolatry, the ultimate blasphemy, thus the ultimate hatred of God and life itself. It is the responsibility of every God-fearing person to not only stand against such diabolical insanity, but do whatever one can to eliminate such abominable policies, such horrendous evil.
    Mike Wisniewski
    Los Angeles Catholic Worker

  2. As members of Trident Ploughshares we join with you all in pledging ourselves to do all we can to resist the use and threat to use nuclear weapons. On this side of the Atlantic we are organizing for the 15 february blockade of Aldermaston. Last night we attended a meeting in a very poor nearby town where some of people who first set up the Faslane Peace Camp in 1982 are now trying to open a Center for Peace and Nonviolence. Their commitment, like yours, was inspiring, a call to action.

  3. Add my name and love to all of you!

Rosalie Riegle, Neighbors for Peace, Evanston, Illinois

  4. If War and weapons of mass destruction are right than Jesus is wrong. From Syracuse, first home of the Drone…God help us! Love to all of you!

  5. Add me to your support list. Karl

  6. Dear Brothers and Sisters, We are grateful for your action. We support you with all that we are able to do.
Pray that someone here in the Midwest would like to do a similar action.

  7. Gregory Tabat, Santa Ana, CA

  8. Add myself, personally, and Nevada Desert Experience as an organization in support of the Disarm Now Plowshares.

  10. add my name in support.

  11. A deep bow of support!

    Judith Kelly
    Arlington, VA

  12. Love and solidarity from down under
Please add my name to support letter
    Ciaron O’Reilly, Catholic Worker, Australia

  13. “the first casualty of war is truth” the politicians lie and
    you tell the truth. thankyou.

  14. I support the Disarm Now ploughshares action in the U.S. on November 2, 2009 at Naval Base Kitsap-Bangor.

  15. Thank you for your actions. Solidarity from Australia.

  16. I will not live in a world where people profit from the poverty, pain, suffering, ignorance and fears of other people. You have my support.

  17. Bill and all the others – you are a great inspiration of faithfulness and prophecy for me and us here at “Brot & Rosen” in Germany. Wish you all the best for the time to come, spending your time in an outcast place like Jesus when he was born, Shalom & Salaam,
    Dietrich Gerstner
P.S. Hope to see you nevertheless again at our European Catholic Worker Gathering!

  18. We are grateful for your step in nonviolence and for your willingness to sacrifice for peace. Each minute is the most important minute in which to take action: thank you for your work and witness.

  19. Please add my name to support letter…..much respect !……cheers from Sydney !!

  20. Thank you for your actions calling attention to the presence of nuclear weapons. Thank you for all you do for peace. I hope that now is the time to rid the world of weapons of mass destruction. Thanks for your nonviolent witness…

  21. I am totally in support of your mission.

  22. Let us all work daily for peace, resist all that leads to war. I support Susan Crane and all those who took part in the November 2, 2009 nonviolent disarmament action at Naval Base Kitsap-Bangor where Trident nuclear weapons are stored or deployed on Trident submarines. War ends when weapons are dismantled and people refuse to fight.

I admire and applaud your courage and remember that “courage” is a word that derives from “coeur,” the French word for “heart.” We need our hearts open and beating strong as we walk the road to peace.

  23. Add my name in support.

  51. To: Letter to the Editor, Seattle Times 12/11/10
(WikiLeaks dispute, Dec. 9) continues to be page-two media. ‘WikiMania ‘ spotlights some uncomfortable truths. It puts at risk some of the people named. Less publicized are the uncomfortable truths and risks in contention right now in U.S. District Court in Tacoma.
LeaksFive people are on trial for entering the Kitsap-Bangor trident submarine and nuclear missile Naval Base, 11/2/09. Called the “Disarm Now Plowshares,” these totally nonviolent activists risk jail time in order to alert our region and our world that 24% of U.S. nuclear weapons sit right in our backyard.

  58. Keep my name off your list. It would be just hunky dory to have a world free of weapons and aggression. Alas it is a pipe dream. This county and its citizens enjoy freedom through strength and the brave soles that gave their lives to protect freedom. Explain to me how we would have escaped WWII if we turned the metal of war into plows? Just one example of the world in which we live and having to be strong in order to maintain our freedom. Do you really think if we dismantle our nukes others will be nice and do the same? Please give me what your smoking for it must be good. Take care and may you who are misguided find the light.
