(Peace) Walking, filled with the Light…

Mary Jane Parrine, who participated in the Walk for Nuclear Disarmament, shared her reflection of time spent with the Dominican Sisters in Fremont on Monday evening and Tuesday morning.  The time with the Dominican’s was one of many blessings experienced throughout the walk (from start to finish).  For Mary Jane, the actual blessing bestowed on the walkers the morning before leaving was particularly moving. A spirited and united group of walkers and supporters  – with special thanks to Bill Joyce, Margo Shafer and the Aldridges for dedicated and comforting SAG wagon duties – successfully and with full awareness of the irony of it all, accompanied Susan Crane back into the arms of the Dublin (CA) Federal Correctional institution for 60 more days of incarceration for her part in the 2009 Disarm Now Plowshares action.
